well, to say the least, life in nz is slowly getting better as i adjust into it. but so far, i have learned of a few differences in people here, and just as i have questions, they do to.
. first off, no one here understands what a breakfast burrito is
. secondly, in the u.s. we dont have to walk through metal detectors to go to school
. its pronounced "erbs" not "Herbs," i don't really care that there is an H in the front
anyway, besides the pretty funny differences thus far, yesterday was fun. i went and bought a guitar, so at least i can play music, and last night my family had a bbq for me, inviting their family and friends. so far i've made a few friends, besides the slight awkwardness at first, and having to ask people to slow down because i can't understand what they're saying, and today i think i'm going to get my first bit of time in the tasman sea as i head out for a surf at piha.
so overall, i am slowly adjusting to living in the land of the long white cloud, and even though they apparently speak english, i'm having a hard time adjusting to that to. at this point i still wake up thinking that im in some foreign land and, honestly, i really miss my friends and family
but its getting better
